October Update

TL;DR 

•  We have shipped over 5,000 units to our backers so far!
•  We anticipate completing 90% of US orders in the next 2 weeks, although there may be some color combinations that will bleed over until week 3 when we have the correct inventory to fulfil them. 
•  In mid-October we will start shipping to Canada and DDU backers. 
•  At the end of October/early November will begin the rest of the international orders through the remainder of the year. 
•  We believe that most, if not all, orders will be shipped by the end of November but delivery could be extended through mid-December/end of the year based on your country of residence and the varying tax and import laws in place. 
•  We have continued to ramp production, whereas when we started shipping we were able to send a few hundred units a week, we are now sending between 1,000-1,500 units. We anticipate continuing to ramp to ~4,000 units a week by the end of October. 
• We do apologize that the timeline has been moved around in the last few months. We have improved in being more realistic with our timeline, and acknowledge that we may have been overly optimistic with our earlier projections. 
• We thank you for your patience! We will be announcing a special reward for all our backers in our next update as a token of our appreciation for your support - so stay tuned!

For backers that have already received your bottles, we appreciate all your kind words and feedback and for the backers still waiting, we truly appreciate your patience and support.

Production and Shipping Update

First of all, we wanted to say thank you to everyone for the amazing support and patience throughout this process. We realize that it has been a little while since you heard from us in an official capacity, and wanted to update you on our progress thus far!

Last month, we were excited to announce that we completed final inspections and were able to begin shipping from our office in California. Since then, we have continued to ship new bottles each week and have transferred shipping responsibilities to our warehouse and logistics partner in order to scale up our capabilities.

On the production side, we started with two color runs, Monaco Blue and Seaside Mint. Once we were assured that everything was working properly, we were able to add in additional color runs. We are excited to announce that we are currently shipping bottles in every color!

Although, we are very happy with our progress thus far we were not able to scale production at the rate we anticipated. Since we started production, we have added an extensive quality control protocol which added additional step to our process. Fortunately, we have found a good rhythm in implementing these steps, however it did extended the timeline. With that said, we will still be delivering US orders in September and anticipate starting international shipments at the end of September into early October. We apologize for the delay, and are truly trying to get the LARQ Bottles delivered as soon as possible.

The shake test (above) is just one of the new quality control protocols that we have added! 

For our international backers, we do not love you any less. We’re starting fulfillment domestically, so that we are able to establish a confirmed processes. This will aid in ensuring ease of transport and decrease the opportunity for further delays of the LARQ Bottle, especially when we are dealing with various customs fees and taxes, and complying with EU regulation on obtaining RoHS and CE certifications when shipping internationally.

Prior to your bottle shipping, you will receive an email confirming your shipping address, and until then you will be able to update your address in your Backerkit Survey or email us at [email protected] at anytime and we would be happy to assist you.

Our First Shipment is Off!

It’s finally happening, we’ve officially shipped out our first batch of Monaco Blue and Seaside Mint LARQ Bottles! As mentioned in previous updates, we will be starting out with a few small shipments from our office here in California in order to perform final inspections and then ramp up production every week.

Although our current timeline may shift slightly, we anticipate shipping all domestic orders by the end of August and continuing on to international orders in September! Prior to shipping, you will receive an email from BackerKit to confirm your shipping information but if you need to update your shipping information now, please feel free to update it in your BackerKit Survey (https://quartz-bottle.backerkit.com/). Simply, login to your BackerKit survey and click “View Confirmation” in the upper right corner. On the next page, you will be able to review and edit your order information. If you need help, feel free to reach out to [email protected] and we’d be happy to assist you.

Once your bottle has shipped, you will receive a tracking number via email so you will know where it is at every step of the way!

Update on our first shipment

We’re excited to let you all know that our first shipment has left our manufacturer's warehouse and is on its way to our office in California for final inspection! Once they arrive in the U.S. we’ll ship them out to our backers right away. As mentioned, it will take some time to ramp up production so we are starting with a small shipment. However, we will continue production every week and hope to get these to you soon.
